Edelweiss Industrial Park Münchwilen combines modern office space and storage facilities with a production hall. The timber structure, with a timber-concrete composite ceiling, forms an interesting structure that is an excellent example of modern and efficient construction.
A developer project of 121 apartments in 2 identical buildings for rent with an area of 53,820 ft² each, designed by CIP ARQUITECTOS SL, was built by the construction company ACR in just 13 months of construction, including earthworks, foundations, and basement, using the industrialized Steel Framing system by AFCA Teccon, a customer of Dlubal Software.
Our client, Maderas Besteiro, was in charge of drafting this emblematic project (structural analysis and design), involving the manufacture of all pieces, a numerical control, subsequent treatment, and finally, assembly management.
The new Desmet-Dardenne funeral parlor opened in the town of Chimay, France in 2021. In the search for an ecological construction, the choice focused on a structure made mainly of timber. Due to the free area of approximately 15,177 ft², the structure of this new funeral parlor allowed for gathering various funeral services in one place: a reception hall, workshop, store, offices, and storage space.
Suzhou is a well-known garden city in China, where nine of its classical gardens are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The project and design of Suzhou Olympic Sports Centre are based on Chinese gardens in order to create a lively and publicly accessible sports park. The stadium roof is currently the largest single-layer cable network structure with membrane roofing in East Asia.
The SDEA Engineering Solutions Advanced Engineering department has extensive experience in mechanical-structural analysis using the finite element method for various structure types and equipment for different industrial sectors such as steel, metalworking, oil and gas, energy, railroads, and metallurgy, among others, as well as for the construction sector.
In order to expand its activity, the breakfast cereal manufacturer Dailycer France has requested the construction of an automated storage building located in Faverolles, in the north of France. This industrial and logistics facility consists mainly of a large reinforced concrete structure standing approximately 114 ft tall. This project was designed by the engineering office SPIC SAS, one of Dlubal Software's customers.
Studio Rota Nodari has extensive experience in civil and industrial project development. For many years, it has designed temporary and permanent steel and aluminum structures such as tensile structures, scaffolding, platforms, and prefabricated roofs for various events throughout Italy and abroad.
The ALBYR Structures team was commissioned to design a new industrial hall in a high seismic activity region. The hall includes seven interior double-hinged frames with tapered beam ends as well as floor levels for offices. The columns were designed to support crane girders for a 5.5-ton crane.
The engineering office Études Techniques Lyonnaises was commissioned with the structural design of the foundations for a new unloading area of an industrial site in the department of Isère, France.
The new unloading area consists of a steel structure built on a foundation plate. The total area is divided into two parts: a traffic and unloading area for rail vehicles, and an area with a pit and a traffic zone for lift trucks.
In many industrial sectors, China is the future market. This is also the case for the entertainment field, in which the German company Maurer Söhne works.
The Dragon Flight roller coaster is being built for Romon U‑Park, an urban theme park in Ningbo. It is the first X‑Train Flying Launch Coaster designed by Maurer Söhne.
Janson Bridging in Hank, the Netherlands, produces temporary, emergency, and permanent bridges for civil, industrial, and military use. All these bridges - consisting of several types - are based on modular concepts that can be easily adjusted to the requests of the customer.
An extraordinary project was born when the architectural office of bergmeister-wolf designed a new workshop for wood carving art in Val Gardena, South Tyrol.
As the triangulated facade could be used only partially for load application, the building represented a great challenge for the responsible timber construction engineer. But the Italian Dlubal Software customer Schrentewein & Partner mastered the task by primarily using the building's inside parts for transferring loads.
The project for designing a filter/dryer device, including agitator, required a complete stress and deformation analysis in RFEM. The complex modeling of the structure, which had 1,424 surfaces, 158 solids, and 425 members, represented a special design challenge.
